Access Network
The Optical Fiber Access Network is an information transmission architecture centered on Passive Optical Network (PON) technology. It comprises Optical Line Terminals (OLT), Optical Network Units (ONT), and Optical Distribution Networks (ODN). By utilizing passive optical splitters for multi-user signal distribution, the network significantly reduces reliance on active equipment and lowers operational costs.
UX IC's transceiver chips, working in synergy with optical chips, perform the critical conversion of electrical signals to optical signals at the OLT side for fiber transmission. Conversely, at the ONU side, they convert the received optical signals back into electrical signals, thereby completing the end-to-end data transmission across the optical fiber infrastructure.
