Backbone Network
A Backbone Network is a high-speed network infrastructure that interconnects regional or metropolitan networks, forming the uppermost layer of the network architecture. Typically composed of core network element devices, each backbone network features at least one interconnection point (NNI) with other backbones. Major network service providers operate their own proprietary backbone networks to ensure seamless connectivity across geographically dispersed areas.
To meet the demands of scenarios requiring extreme bandwidth—such as Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and backbone networks—UXUN provides high-performance transceiver chips that work in synergy with optical chips. Leveraging advanced modulation formats (e.g., QPSK, 16QAM) and coherent detection technology, these solutions utilize Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to compensate for transmission impairments like chromatic dispersion and attenuation. This enables reliable transmission over distances ranging from hundreds to thousands of kilometers, while delivering superior anti-interference capabilities.
